Mivic Hirose Appointed LHHRC Executive Administrator

I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mivic Hirose, Chief Nursing Officer at LHHRC, as the hospital’s new Executive Administrator. Mivic’s 25 years as a nurse and administrator make her well positioned to assume the top leadership role at LHHRC, left by the sudden death of John Kanaley last month.

She becomes the first Filipino-American hospital director in San Francisco and joins Sue Currin, CEO of SFGH, as one of only two women in the City to become top administrators of a hospital.

I have worked with Mivic for many years and have great confidence in her ability to lead LHHRC as it transitions into its new facility next year. She has a proven commitment to achieving the highest levels in quality of care, quality of life and independence for each resident, whether at Laguna Honda Hospital and Rehabilitation Center or in the community. I know the LHHRC staff and all of the DPH family join me in welcoming Mivic into her new position.
